Continuing my theme of small plastic things for the lab, here’s my design for a 3D printed jig to hold a slide while you are preparing it.
The essence of this design is to minimise the contact between it and the slide, so it is held up in the air on four small studs, and stopped from moving around by some taller studs around the edges - all near the ends and away from the business part in the middle.
There’s then some positioning markers to show where the centre is. The square is 22-18mm to match with some cover slip sizes.
