Delta stage motors


When using Delta stage, when it is not moving, the current consumption increases. The motors 28BYJ-48 are getting pretty hot. Lowering motor voltage from 5 volts to 3 volts is a good idea?

There are a couple of threads on this. The higher current depends on which coils end up being energised at the final point. In motion the coils are on and off basically half the time. However the maximum current should be low (0.6A in my tests) and the motors should not get hot. This seems to depend on the batch of motors, and some are really bad according to others on this forum.
