Build from git, added a display

I thought I’d share this build, along with the details. It turned out nice.

I picked up a Sangaboard v5 + lighting kit from taulab as part of an openflexure build, for a friend’s kid. 4GB Pi 4 model B, Pi camera v2, Olympus PLAN 40x infinity objective, tube lens from Thorlabs, motors and 300mm flex cable from Adafruit.

Printed the gears in white PLA, infinity optics module in black matte fiber PLA, the rest in galaxy black PLA. The case and stand for the display is also in galaxy black.

Using an original Nintendo SNES controller with a Super RetroPort SNES to USB converter from retroUSB.

The display is a pretty generic 7-inch 1024x600 capacitive touch screen with HDMI and USB.

It runs for many hours on battery without much trouble. The pi complains about low voltage, and you may even be able to see the little lightning bolt symbol on the screen. It does not seem to affect performance at all, and the motors actually run cooler than when the system is powered from the wall.
