@guardio Yes, these empirical tests were done because of the lack of information about the lenses. Definitely, having the lens features would make it easier. Regarding the plots, I made them with Fiji/ImageJ. You can generate these different plots if you go to Analyze > Histogram and Analyze > Surface Plot.
