Rasberry pi 5 support advancement

Hello everyone,
I’m currently building the microscope for a school project but I’ve been given a rasberry pi 5 with a camera 3 module.
I’ve already reworked the camera slot so it fits module 3 but I’ve been stuck on the issue of non compatibility between, the openflexure os & app, and the raspberry 5.
I was wondering what advancements toward compatibility has been made, and where could I read about it.

Thank y’all for your time

The OpenFlexure software is currently only compatable with Raspberry Pi up to the Pi4 and only with the Pi Camera 2 (2.1). Pi3B works well, particularly if you use the Sangaboard v0.5 which provides a better physical power connection than the micro-USB on the Pi itself.

The software is currently under revision, which on the future will make it easier to allow other cameras and other versions of the Pi. This is not yet up to a v3 alpha release, and it will still be tied to the same hardware at release.

So the requirement for Pi4 and Pi Camera 2 is likely to remain for the medium term.
