As with all the unofficial Pi camera modules, I don’t think this works with the picamera library? (There’s no link so I’ve not checked that). Currently, the microscope software only supports the official camera module, v2. It may work with a bit of tweaking with v1 or the High Quality one, but I have not tested it.
As it happens, I am currently working on modularising the camera support, and that may enable this to work. However, it is highly likely that some features (like fast autofocus and lens shading correction) will not work with anything other than the official camera.
