I demonstrate my Open Flexure Microscope at several locations and needed a simple carrying case. I found a VIKOS Products 10”x7”x7” wood box on Amazon that is a near perfect fit. It probably is not rugged enough for air travel, but it works great for me. I made a leather handle for it and added some rubber feet - It looks like a baby traditional microscope box.

I love it! It’s probably both cheaper and more robust than the laser cut boxes I tend to use for transport (inside another bag). I may need to get one, and make some nice foam inserts. I may also need to get some dark wood stain so it matches my antique microscope that sits on a mantelpiece at home
it’s £30 in the UK, which is probable less than the cost of the plastic for my laser cut box.
