I have just made a Model Context Protocol file for use with Claude, based on the Python SDK. You can install the server with your Claude desktop version and use it to control the microscope and get it to analyze the images just by chatting with it.
@tay10r Yes, for one its to automate certain things without having to write code, to lower the barrier to use.
But what i am hoping for the most is to increase the potential of OFM as a diagnostic tool, if you can have an LLM evaluating what it sees and asking you secondary questions (where was the sample collected from, how was it stained, etc..) it can help to make it more accurate in hands of less trained people.
It should also help to shorten the loop for the method development and troubleshooting, as you can get an LLM to give you suggestions and evaluate whatever it sees against research it can pull from the web.
great!
I have the same opion with you for diagnostic tool, and lower the barrier.
The eaist way may be using rag to enhacing search the answer of the typical instruments.
