I came back as expected and I try the microscope_stand_45-BS.stl with the last modify optics_picamera_2_rms_infinity_f50d13_beamsplitter and the BS hole is to low as you can see on the pic. (of course I do the focus and I use the sample riser)
But after thinking it may be cause by the fact I use a 4x lens, but still if the microscope design can operate from 4x to 100x lens as it describe on the documentation the BS hole should (may be) get a bigger range…
I really dont know but I think you must check this BS option with infinity optics.
I must have the material (printed and hardware) for a test if you wish with optics_picamera_2_rms_f50d13_beamsplitter and some old lens 5x / 10x / 40x / 60x / 100x.
Thanks for posting - as I’ve said in various other places, the infinity optics option is one I’ve added because several people requested it, but we don’t routinely use it in my group. There are now so many options that it’s impossible to test them all physically, and in this case I forgot that moving the position of the beamsplitter in the infinity-corrected module should also affect the position of the hole in the base. I’d suggest modifying it with a hack saw for now !
If you felt like either raising an issue or even sending a merge request, that would be great - I guess all that’s needed is making the height of the hole in the base stay in the same place relative to the bottom of the base, rather than relative to the top of the base.
