Hi all,
Slightly odd request but wasn’t sure where else to ask. I’ve been trying to find a tardigrade with my openflexure pi cam version microscope. I think I’ve found one but I’m not sure. I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks

It could be, it is hard to tell from that angle. Keep looking - it is really cool when you find one
was it moving? If it wasn’t then it may be a dead one or a cuticle
Yes, it’s a tardigrade. Not a shed cuticle, but like @pristinscope said, if it wasn’t moving then it’s probably not alive. They sometimes leave eggs in their cuticles.

This is actually an egg. Thy lay eggs when they shed inside the old cuticle as you say.
