Hi all, As you know the long term goal of the OpenFlexure Project is to enable local manufacturing of medical microscopes across the world. BTech in Tanzania are probably going to be our first manufacturing partner, they are already registered as medical devices manufacturers with the Tanzanian Medical Devices Authority. Our friend Valerian Sanga who is CEO of BTech, is has identified that they really need to understand the cyber security aspects of selling and supporting a digital diagnostic device for clinics. And he has been accepted into a Masters program on cybersecurity at Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology. He is in needs of funds to help him pay for his studies. It was eye opening for me to learn that there were 10s of options for British and American people to raise personal funds by crowdfunding, but not a single option we could find for someone from Tanzania to do the same. I shouldn’t be surprised about this, but I was! So I am raising funds in Valerian’s name.
